| 1998 |
The meeting was held from 3-7 October, 1998 in Riom, France at the Chateau de Mirabel. Dr. Pierre Duprat was the President of the Society and chaired the organizing committee. The meeting encompassed several sessions: In vitro, retina electrophysiology and veterinary and toxicology ophthalmology. The interaction between attendees and speakers was very active. The Proceedings and articles are being published in The Journal of Toxicology - Cutaneous and Ocular Toxicology. |
| 1996 |
Dr. Keith Green was chair of the organizing committee in his role as President of ISOT. The meeting was held from October 13 through 17, 1996 at the Grove Park Inn and Resort in Asheville, North Carolina. Program highlights were sessions organized around the themes of ocular drug metabolism and nitric oxide effects. A workshop on in vitro and in vivo models for ocular toxicity testing occupied almost a whole day with an enthusiastic audience that provided vigorous interaction and a ready exchange of ideas. The proceedings were published by Plenum Press, New York, in a text entitled "Advances in Ocular Toxicology". |
| 1994 |
This meeting was held in Annecy, France with the chair of the local organizing committee being Professor Otto Hockwin and the President of the Society, Dr. Ingo Weisse. The meeting had invited speakers in the areas of electrophysiology and drug pharmacokinetics. Over 100 persons attended this meeting held in a splendid setting. A day trip to Chamonix was a social highlight. The meeting proceedings were published in a book published by Plenum Press, New York, entitled "Ocular Toxicology". |

Dr. Sidney Lerman and Dr. Keith Green organized this third International Congress of the Society held in November in Sedona, Arizona. An attendance of over 100 persons led to a meeting in another magnificent setting with a large program of papers and posters being presented. A symposium on Alternatives to Animals in Toxicity Testing was an integral part of the program. New officers were elected with Dr. Ingo Weisse assuming the Presidency on January 1, 1993. Publication of the Congress Proceedings occurred in Lens & Eye Toxicity Research, Vol 9, 1993; Marcel Dekker, New York. |
